PlumbApple
3This is a local high-end fish restaurant, similar to Legal Seafood. The fish items were all very fresh and prepared well (brown butter scallops for me). The by-the-glass wine list is big enough, and a glass of cab was served undamaged (not a sure thing!). The waitstaff works in teams of 2 (today, 3) and were appropriately attentive. This visit had two significant negatives, leading me to think "note to self: don't go back soon" even though I generally like the place. One was that if was very loud, making it hard to have a conversation (which was the point), almost to the point where I felt like putting in hearing protection. The second problem was that despite having made a reservation (for 5) for lunch the day before, we were seated it in the bar area, and there was a television right in my field of view. Nice restaurants do not have televisions, and therefore the Sole failed to be a nice restaurant. If you don't mind loud, you don't mind TV, and you like fish -- try it.
